ATI AT-Series - Turn-off-experiences??

579 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Razvanel
Hello!

I'm from Germany and just got a brand new ATI AT3007 amp. The sound is great an the soft-start-function works perfectly.

But there'e one problem: there is a nasty, high frequency noise coming out of my speakers just 10 seconds after turning off the amp.

Anyone made the same experiences? Especially with high-efficient speakers (like Klipsch). My speakers have a sensivity of 96 dB @ 1 Watt @ 1 metre and this noise is nerving!!

Greets,

I have the ol' ATI 1505 and it does the same thing. Mine kinda starts out high pitched then goes down. I think it is like a power dissapaition thing.

Isn't very loud in my system though. Running Paradigm Studios..

I don't think it does any harm and I don't worry about it.

Give ATI a call and ask. They are very, very cool people to talk to!

That's normal, I had two ATI 2007 amps and they both did the same thing, discharging capacitors. I too have Klipsch speakers and the noise was pretty annoying, I returned both amps.
