ATI Radeon 9700 Pro HDTV???

Sorry for being impatient and not looking too far into the forum, but do i need ATI's HDTV adapater or can I use my Ixos vga to RGBHV(5 rcas) on my Hitachi 53SWX01W? I have heard you can use vga breakouts as y/pr/pb by not using the two sync cables but this sounds untrue. If so, is there a way to use a splitter or something to merge the sync in with the other wires? I thought I heard one of the syncs are in the green......



Hopefully someone understands what I am getting at...

If your set has RGBHV inputs then use the breakout cable, connect all 5 connectors, and you will probably have to set your DTV input to RGB (as I do on my Mits).

If it does not have RGBHV, only YPrPb, then use either the adapter cable that comes with the AIW or purchase a VGA to component transcoder.
