ATI RADEON 9800PRO to commercial Panny plasma - how best to connect?

I just ordered a refurbed HTPC with MCE 2004 that has a ATI RADEON 9800PRO video card with DVI out. I want to connect it to a Panasonic TH-50PX20UP with HDMI in. I also plan to upgrade to MCE 2005 soon. I would prefer to use the HDMI (HDMI/DVI cable) or progressive inputs (ATI dongle?) on the rear of the TV. Please share your experiences and/or recommendations with this match-up or similar setups?

I am cuurently usin an ATI 9600XT and a nVidia 6800 Ultra to connect to my TH-42PA20 panasonic plasma (edtv) through DVI and I have major overscan issues. I have been trying to get som assistance in reducing the overscan but I have not had any luck yet. I am using Windows XP Pro, powerstrip, and theatertek. With the ATI 9600XT, I was able to get 1776x1000 resolution to work with no overscan, but when playing DVDs I was getting tearing in the image. When I switched to the nVidia 6800 Ultra I didn't get any tearing but I have a lot of overscan. If there is anyone out there that can assign us with our setup, PLEASE HELP.
