These speakers on on my short list for my Dolby Digital THX/EX setup in a 30X20X8' room using a Denon AVR 4800 as a pre-pro and rear channels amp with a separate amp for front channels like a Parasound THX.

These speakers got an excellent review in a recent Home Theater magazine. Their physical dimensions are rather small and I'm questioning whether or not they will be adequate for my 4800 cubic foot room. I am aware that the THX Ultra certification is good for up to 6000 feet but, I'm wondering?

Can anyone comment on this issue based on experience?

Thank you.

Im uing this spkr system in my showroom. They never break up and fill the room just fine. My square footage is just shy of your room. 12 W x 11 h x 25 L.

I crank these things and love em.

They are sharp looking also.

I use the same system with a lexicon and side and rear surrounds with dual M+K 350 subs in a room 36x24x8 and they sound great. Good full sound, slightly on the warm side, excellent at all volumes, I like them and have tried several brands.

I'm using the 450e system with a Denon 5700 receiver with a Sherbourn 5/1500 amp for the Smart 3x decoder (I was going to post my Smart/Sherbourn impressions when I got the other Sherbourn Amp, but it was damaged in shipping). I no longer call myself an audiophile and I don't have experience with other brands, but in my 18.5'x13.5'x8' room I am very happy with the AT system. I have listened to many, many DVD's and around 2 dozen DTS DVD's and I'm more than happy with the sound.
