Well after playing with my 150 for a few hours I am totally impressed! And this is just displaying onto a bedsheet.
I'm throwing a 100" diagonal image and it looks great! Jaggies that were noticeable on my 50" 4:3 RPTV are now absent. Oddly enough I didn't find the difference between progressive and interlaced that big.
I also ran into the chroma bug on my Panasonic RP91 with my Tarzan disc - which I didn't realize until later. Since this was my first stab at running progressive I initially thought I had done something wrong in the setup and spent a hour trying various things to correct it. Trying another disc with no problems made me remember the RP91 bug.
In progressive mode do the colours tend to be a bit more muted than normal mode? Hopefully I can correct this when I do some calibrations with my AVIA disc.
Fan and wheel colour noise are quite tolerable at this point - it was sitting on top of the coffee table in front of me. I'll move it underneath tonight and see how that sounds.
Being a projector neophyte I guess my eye is not yet trained to properly assess the picture. This will probably change over time as I become discerning. Right now though - I am just soaking in the beautiful picture this little sucker is putting out.
Thanks to everyone for the great info on this board in helping make this decision!!!
