Audio Playback problem with DVDs

For some reason when I play back my digitally stored DVDs (stored with VIDEO_TS) the main audio track doesn't work. All music and background tracks work just fine, but the main track doesn't. I ran the Microsoft Windows Video Decoder Checkup Utility and set the CyberLink MPEG-2 decoder to default but it still doesn't work. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I've removed every codec aside from DivX from this machine and the problem doesn't go away.

edit: it's actually not just my digital copies. It happens when playing back DVDs from the physical media as well. PowerDVD works fine for physical media but I can't use it for playing back my digital copies, I use My Movies for cataloging all that for me.
