I wanted to start a new thread for the St. Louis area to determine if a local problem exists with HD audio/video synch, and to determine what equipment is causing this problem (if it is an equipment problem).
I currently am using a Zen520 D* receiver with a Sam 617w dlp. I also have a hughes d* receiver. I am experiencing the audio synch problems intermittenly mainly with OTA local signals, but have seen it with selected DVDs. It appears on either of the two digital rcvrs. I have been working with the KSDK chief engineer to help determine if the problem is in their equipment or ours. I am interested in seeing posts of other people in the Stl area that are receiving the HD locals and have observed this out-of-synch (audio leads lips). Please post your equipment and your observations.
My personal experience with this problem occurs every night with the Jay Leno broadcast. I see it intermittenly with the FOX broadcasts. I have never seen this issue with the D* sat feeds.
After I compile this information I will send it to the person I am working with at KSDK, who also has agreed to monitor this thread.
