Hi,


So I'm doing all my home theater new connections today and am trying to connect my 360 via the VGA.


I have a Samsung HL-S5688 and it seems like it only has a digital audio connection option for the VGA/computer input? If that's right, is it just a standard TOS-link cable that you use? Or is it a partcular MS-branded cable?

Regular old Toslink. Got mine from www.monoprice.com for about $3.

Hm. Upon further inspection, it's not a digital cable input. It's just an input for computer sound. So... any ideas?

I'm not sure that I understand you, but if you bought the MS VGA cable it comes with an adapter that goes from RCA, to miniplug (headphones). You have to use that adapter to be able to plug it into your tv. And like you stated is not a digital input, its just a headphone input, regular L and R channels. I have the HLS 6187 which is the same as your tv.

That's exactly the info I needed.


Missed the adaptor between boxes for Monster cables, the HD-DVD boxes, banana plugs, speaker boxes, and all sorts of other stuff. Dig some digging and found it. Solves my problem.
