Clarification,

RCA Accessories was sold in Dec'06 for $50 million to

Audiovox. Accessories would be items like blank video

tape, cables, rabit ears, etc.


This did not include RCA TV's, which was taken over by

TCL in 2004, a company based in China. TCL became the world's largest maker of TV, 18 Millon per year, 6 million more than it's closest competitor.

However, it also specifies the "rights to the RCA name". How can it sell those rights if it still retains them? Sounds like RCA may now be part of Audiovox (which is fine with me given the quality way they've supported the HDV5000).
