Audyessy MultiEQ XT32 Question

691 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  vaha
Whenever I run audyssey it sets my front main speakers to large and my crossovers 40 Hz. The recommendation is to set all to small and 80 Hz. Should I go into the app and change those settings after I run audyssey and then send it to the 7706?

Yes.
(Its not actually audyssey that sets those, its the AVR manufacturer who decides small/large and crossovers)

Seems like a good recommendation.

Yes.
80Hz is standard. But if you have great mains, nice subs, and plenty of power for your expected volume level experiment with 40 and 60Hz, especially if you play a lot of quality music. You may discover a whole new enjoyment. When the music blows your mind so will the movies.

Yes. Room calibration software never gets that part right. It is always recommended to set the speaker as Small in the AVR, and set a crossover higher than what it tells you. 80Hz is the set-it-and-forget-it number.
