I am looking for a way to "schedule" different types of music to play at different times/days per a schedule on my Denon 4308 AVR receiver.


For example, everyday during the workweek (M-F) I want the receiver to start playing internet radio on a specified station at 6AM. From 10AM-12noon I want it to play an XM station. Then at 2PM it should switch to a FM talk radio show. Etc.....Weekends would have a different schedule. It would go into standby mode every night at 10PM.


Does anyone know of a way to do this?

incase Crestron costs too much here are more options:

Here are the commands that MainLobby can send to the serial / TCP Denon receivers to do the things you mention. The MainLobby Server application is what can be configured to time these activities. Of course, you can also override the schedule when needed.

use automate from unisyn to control the receiver web page at the time you want and power on the receiver, change input as you want, start playing the station, etc. just make the automate script run at the time you want. you just need a pc running for whenever you want automate to run.
