Denon X1500H for $300.
https://www.cnet.com/reviews/energy-take-classic-5-1-review/I am creating a home theater room and would like some suggestions on the best 'bang for the buck' AV Receivers. I am looking to spend between $300 - 400 on one (I like nice sound but unlike my friends it doesn't have to be the 'ultimate') ..which is why I'm at that price range. I will be using this in a 22' X 25' room for a projector (Optoma UHD 60), with FIOS and a PS4. I will be probably using a 5.1 or 7.1 setup. I don't mind getting a model that is a year old if it's highly rated in that price range. Speaker suggestions for the same price range would be appreciated too. Thanks!
$400 total budget for five to seven speakers to properly fill that size room just isn't realistic but the Energy Take Classic 5.1 that I mentioned will adequately do the job for now until you are able to allocate more funds for your speakers. You could still use them for your surrounds even after you upgrade your LCR.I am creating a home theater room and would like some suggestions on the best 'bang for the buck' AV Receivers. I sent you a private message about speakers. It might be helpful.Yeah...those look awesome but are a little out of my price range. As I said I don't need the high end ...just the best for what I can afford. I would assume there have to be some speakers for $300 that are better than others. I have speakers already for my living room but compared to those I'm sure these are cheap ones.

Well, I would flip that, and get a used receiver from Craigslist (where are you located?), watching patiently. My buddy saved literally $1000 when I found him a few-year-old Denon 2312Ci. Owner sold it for $100 because it didn't switch 4k video...who cares, we wire direct to the display anyway....best 'bang for the buck' AV Receivers. Cool thank you for helping him out with his receiver and speaker selectionsyeah, I reread the OP and figured it out
Should I be worried those speakers are so small? Filling up a 22' X 25' room.Focal 5.1 setup also available at Crutchfield. Better customer service and return policy.

Yes but that comes with the budget. You can always try them out and return them if not satisfied.Should I be worried those speakers are so small? Filling up a 22' X 25' room.
