I'm moving to the world of front projection, and after a few months of reading and posting on the boards, I decided to call Jason at AV Science and order an Infocus X1 projector and a Da-Lite screen.
He was informative and responsive, but it's been a week since I gave him my credit card information and the shipping address for my order, but since then, he hasn't responded to any of my emails (I've sent three or four) with inquiries as to the status of my order.
Is this usual for AV Science? My credit card hasn't been charged yet, so it's most likely that they haven't gotten around to even placing my order yet, but a week is a long time to wait for an order to be placed in this day and age of next day shipping and automated web-based order tracking!
Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried calling AV Science, but their phone mail indicates he's not in the office for some reason or another.
