Apologies ahead of time if this isn't the best forum in which to post this question. Feel free to direct me to a more appropriate forum..


I'm moving to the world of front projection, and after a few months of reading and posting on the boards, I decided to call Jason at AV Science and order an Infocus X1 projector and a Da-Lite screen.


He was informative and responsive, but it's been a week since I gave him my credit card information and the shipping address for my order, but since then, he hasn't responded to any of my emails (I've sent three or four) with inquiries as to the status of my order.


Is this usual for AV Science? My credit card hasn't been charged yet, so it's most likely that they haven't gotten around to even placing my order yet, but a week is a long time to wait for an order to be placed in this day and age of next day shipping and automated web-based order tracking!


Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried calling AV Science, but their phone mail indicates he's not in the office for some reason or another.

Why don't you call Dan or Alan at AVS? Either, I'm sure, would be able to help you out with your order--sounds like Jason is out of the office right now.

Thanks. I called in and confirmed that I'm in their system, and that the screen will be shipping from Da-Lite (never knew it was pronounced "day light" until I heard it on the phone!) on May 5th, but that only Jason knew when the Infocus X1 projector would be shipping.


Ah well, looks like I'll have to wait for Jason to get back to get an update on the X1.

I found Jason and my orders from AVS to be top notch - good service and excellent prices. The service they provide with this forum is simply incredible. I was happy to be able to do business with them.

I have had nothing but good luck with Jason and AVS. I suspect there may be an issue from the distributor that may be keeping the order from being completed. Just a guess.
