Pro2 has the expansion card cage already installed. The AV2 has the slot but not the cage. This could be added later. The Pro2 has a LCD display with 6 buttons that can be quite useful and a major reason I would recommend it over the AV2. I use it as backup control station should your panels go down ( rare) and I use it for both soft and hard resets. The client need only press a button on the front panel to activate these functions. Finally, I use CNPCI-1A relay boxes for most equipment locations and I allow the client to press a button here to shut off all the equipment in the home if he will be away for a while. There are also status leds that tell you which relays are closed, what ports IR is firing out of and if RS-232 codes are being transmitted or received. Otherwise they are identical.
