avia calibration for 7.1?

366 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  CAVX
ok... i'm back with another question :p ... i tried a search on this because i know i saw the answer somewhere before but it didnt come up... anyway... Since avia offers aclibration for only up to 5.1, how are we supposed to calibrate the 2 rear surrounds in a 7.1 setup?

also, i have 2 subwoofers in my setup... if i were to calibrate using avia, should i calibrate both at the same time, or turn one sub off and calibrate and then do the same with the other?

thanks alot! you doon't know how much help this forum is!

Use the internal test tones built into your receiver.

I agree 100% with Sanjay...

Even JPK DVD which does offer 6.1 test material (despite the level discrepancies) is not really ideal for 7.1 set up, because the mono tone does allow for the separate left and right back surround adjustment...
