I am looking at possibly investing in the AVIA HT setup disk. How does this compare to the THX setup that comes with the Star Wars DVDs or the T2 special edition. Is it worth the investment?

No comparison. The THX setup is very basic - only tests to see if your speakers are on! Also just the basics of white level.


The AVIA disk provides lots of explanation and help and a very wide range of tests, patterns, and tones.

There are more choices than these two. Is Avia the best of the lot for video & sound?

In my opinion, yes it is. Avia is easy enough for anyone to use, and powerful enough that you don't need anything else.
