This may have been covered before, but I can't find the answer i'm looking for.

As we all know it is best to always leave a 1/4" or greater gap between the stage and riser to avoid vibrations. However, then some build screen walls that attach to the stage and ceiling. Doesn't this defeat the whole purpose?

For example, I am installing a column on the side of my riser that will be used to cover the electrical panel. However, after carefully separating the riser from the walls this column will now enable possible vibrations from the walls to the riser. To help minimize such vibrations I used a sheet of insulation under the column inner frame as shown below. I just hope this will be enough protection.
