I'm looking for an inexpensive 1080p HDMI audio input and output receiver for a temporary pre-amp. Will use about a year and move to bedroom as receiver. I've had a flawless Denon 5600 receiver and love the qulity. Have found a good price for a AVR-887 so it is tempting. The only differences I can see between the 887 and 2307 are the 2307CI has a RS232 port and removable power cord (over all unimportant to me).
I'm open to other options but it must have multi channel 96/24 audio through HDMI (would like 2) and HDMI output. Of course it also must have pre-amp outputs.
