AVR-960H or AVR-X2700H?

I’ve been looking to upgrade my older Denon AVR-1909 to a newer unit for a while now. I only have a 3.1 set up and due to room constraints I’ll most likely never have more than that. I’ve been leaning towards the AVR-960H for a long while now. But looking at the Denon website it appears the AVR-X2700H is the next step up from that? I see the 2700H has 95w per channel versus 90w per channel on the 960H. But other than that, what would I gain upgrading to the 2700H? With my 3.1 set up I don’t think the extra 5w per channel will make a big difference.

x2700h has higher version of Audyssey, Mult EQ XT vs plain MultEQ on the s960H. x2700 also has a detachable power cord and 3 year warranty vs 2 year on the s960h.

Looks like the x2700h also supports analog to HDMI video conversion if that matters.

I wonder how much difference the MultEQ XT would make on my simple 3.1 set up?

@smokey982 I have a 3.1 setup now in the living room and have room correction off. I run speakers small and just set the distances manually.

X2700 is a step up as already mentioned by mr frog :). But probably wont matter in a 3.1 setup so get the one with the most features you need for the best price.
