Hey all,
As my question implies, I am in the learning stage on video processors but this forum has helped a ton.
I have been going back and forth on purchasing a few A/V receivers and adding on a video processor. After listening to many makes/models I have chosen the Denon line as it sounds best with my system…at least to my ears.
I have been going back and forth between the Denon 3803 and the 5803…..there are certainly differences between the two, including price.
My first question to the vid processor forum is this…..no matter which AVR I choose, I will have enough inputs for my video sources…both receivers up convert to component out….if I could only afford to purchase the 3803 and a video processor or the 5803 alone…which would give a better picture quality (generally speaking)
My second question would be, for a newbie who has yet to try a video scaler out….do video sclaers generally outperform (from a quality standpoint) AVR’s in the $2-4K range
Maybe someone could confirm an assumption of mine…I assume that one of the main benefits of a separate Vid. Scaler is the ability to send the signal to the display that is best for that display.
In case it matters, I am using a Mits DLP 52-725
