I just setup an AVR430 and have run into a problem with a single component not sending video correctly.

My setup is as follows:

DVD Player

S-Video to DVD Input

Fibre to Optical 1

PS2

Composite (yellow) to Video 1 Input

Red/White Audio to Video 1 Audio Inputs

X-Box

S-Video to Video 2 Input

Fibre to Optical 2

The problem is with the PS2, no video but the audio works fine. I tried moving it around and no luck. In the OSD I had it at vid1 and vid2 for video and it had nothing on screen.

I'm lost as to what is wrong with the setup so that the PS2 doesn't have video come up. The cables etc. work fine as they have been tested directly connected to the TV.

You should post this at the Receiver section to get more help.

But here's what I think.

Correct me if I'm wrong but does the 430 upconvert composite to S-video? Do you have composite out to your monitor or S-video?

If you only have S-video to your monitor (which I'm guessing is how you have it set up), you may need to either connect a composite monitor out to your display to display the PS2 or buy a composite to s-video adapter and connect it to Video 1 S-video input.
