I'm looking to upgrade my antique 5.1 pre-pro combo with something more modern, and I'm trying to find models with a surround processor that offer a lip sync delay option for each audio input. I'm looking for things under $2000.


So far I've found

- Denon AVR-3803 and 4802R

- Rotel RSP-1098 which is too expensive for my budget.


Are there any other models that offer this feature?

The new Harman/Kardon AVRs 430 and 630 just introduced @ CEDIA have this feature. Both models should be shipping in late October, AVR 430 is $899 and AVR 630 is $1099. For more information, do a search as there was a couple of threads with more details last week.

If you can squeeze a few hundred more out of your 2K budget you could get a Sunfire Theater Grand III which has the delay. Street price is not far above your budget if you can get a dealer who is willing to work with you.

The Integra DTC 9.4 has an adjustable audio delay circuit.

A used Meridian 565 will give you great sound and lipSynch delays for around $1,200.

The new Sony STR-DA5000ES has lip-sync feature and MSRP at $1500. (9000ES also has it but $3k more ) This is one of their new digital amps.
