We are currently halfway through our 2nd season and some teams are available if wish to join. Strict advance for every 5 days, unless all games are played within that time period.

We will continue the league even when Madden 11 comes out, but use Madden 11. Hopefully we can import our league and this league never has to die.

Some teams available have records that are undesirable, but the rosters would make owners happy for next season. On top of that the draft pick that comes along with one of the teams available is desirable.

Just be warned that if you are a SIM player, there is a lot to swallow in this league. Not saying its completely bad but just scout out your opponents and check up on the rules and whats going on FREQUENTLY!!!


I was in this league until some friends of the league decided my attitude towards issues I had with some gameplay of another member came into question and I got heated and went off.


Like I said, if you play SIM then think twice, I have been playing madden and football in general probably alot longer than most of these guys in this league, if they werent stubborn, they wouldnt be having this mid season recruiting problem they're having now. But i guess when you the man in a league you can boot whoever whenever no matter how committed they were.

I'm a sim player and I love this league. Sure, some people go the route of being strictly a running team or a passing team, but it's a friendly league. Scouting how other teams play and then going out and trying to stop them is part of the fun! These games are so much better than the riff raff you have to deal with playing anonymous online matches. We've only had a couple bad apples come thru the league so far.


There's no midseason recruiting problem. lol There has never been less than 20-some owners...usually closer to 25+. We just have some open spots, so we're opening it up to AVS users again to join if anyone would like to get in on it. It's probably hard to find a good online franchise with this many user controlled teams that advances weeks in 5 days or less. And being that most owners are from AVS, it filters out all the teenagers and other punks we don't want to play with.


The devoted message board makes it a breeze to schedule games, make trades, talk football or any and everything else going on involving the league.

Sphinx. I sugest we keep playing madden 10 when 11 comes out. I am not sure everyone will upgrade to MAdden 11 and the '10 servers are active for 2 years. If i'm not mistaken the servers are kept up for 2 years after the new version goes out. I wold really hate to sart from scratch with my team again.

There's some good discussion in the league's message board regarding this very topic and whether we'll be sticking with 10 or upgrading to 11 when it comes out. Once the complete features of 11 and its online franchise are known (ability to import rosters from our Madden 10 online franchise?, is it still scaled down compared to the offline franchise, is the game good enough to warrant buying if you already own 10 or is it just a roster update, etc...) then we'll have a better idea of what will happen. Until then, we should be finishing season 2 over the next few weeks and will have enough time to get a 3rd (and 4th?) season in before Madden 11 comes out.

Capone what issues are you even talking back? It's been a while since you been around and I encourage you to revisit.


Our old commish retired and I have taken over the league. Any decisions will be voted on by the league owners so everyone has a voice. Come back to the league and shoot me your issues and I will put up a poll. If the majority agrees with you, we adjust.


Anyways we have 2 players out on leave, and still have 25 spots open. When they come back we will have 27 active players. Hardly a crisis, I am just taking an initiative in filling more spots.

There are several issues and a few players who left due to the nature of the gameplay you guys let others get away with. I dont play by the "if its in the game, its in the game motto", nor do others I play with or against. But in this league, I have heard all kinds of crap even the way the commish plays his games by running the same crap over and over.



Koza, I know we played with 2 teams that arent the best when it comes to the ratings (i'm 49ers, you Raiders) but you played that game and I felt like I never played madden until that gm. Like I tell everyone who asked me what happened, its hard to explain, you just have to had seen it for yourself.


You must have alternate accounts!!! I have never heard of you or seen you online before EVER under the name you go by here. I have ran across every cheat, cheese, glitcher out there, but this has topped them all.


I dont care if you lost 3 games after ours, all you have to do is win the division and run your little gimmicks in the Playoffs and win. I seen it done before, kinda like a pool shark or something similar. You trying not to intimidate anyone and with the praise I was getting from a few members and the buzz about my gameplay started to trickle, you decided to show me who's who in the league. Now all of a sudden you go from UNDEFEATED in season 1 to LOSING your first game after our little altercation.

I played Koza the season he went undefeated and have no idea what you're talking about. I knew was going to run the ball a lot by looking at the rushing numbers he'd put up throughout the season, but I made a point to stop the run (which I did fairly well) and he beat me b/c he made a couple nice passing TDs and had a pick-6 on me. It was nothing out of the ordinary. I believe he beat me by 3 or 7 points. I was using the Browns, so it's not like my talent level was very good either and I'm not a spectacular player or anything special. You talk like he's some professional Madden player disguised as someone else or something. Just doesn't add up IMO.


Everyone plays differently. It's a video game, not real football. It's ok if it's not played exactly like the real thing.

Jenk lost to Koza twice in the regular season (Chargers and Raiders, they're in the same division), but he beat him in the playoffs. If I remember correctly, I think he might have even beat Koza once this regular season. I beat Jenk in the regular season last year and he then knocked me out of the playoffs. I haven't haven't heard from anyone but you (smokecapone) that Koza is glitching or cheating. He's just good at running the ball and forcing turnovers on D. He also has the best CB in the game, so that probably helps out his passing D. Just b/c someone is better than you doesn't mean they're cheating. I think I'm a pretty good Madden player, but I still lose games. I don't accuse someone of cheating just b/c I lost to them. It's just a game and as I always say, it's a friendly league. Most of us have fun regardless of whether we win or lose every game.

correct, i've beat the chargers both times in season 1 regular season... but lost to them in the playoffs.... and again this season I lost to him once already.... our week 10 matchup will go a long way in deciding the AFC west this year.

We'll have an AVS MADDEN LEAGUE SHOWDOWN v SmokeCapone


Most of you should have no trouble with beating me or dismantling me like KOZA did since you guys came ohh so close to beating him or have beat him. That would be the tell all in this situation.


I know you guys feel he's like a brother and all and thats cool and understandable, but things arent always as they appear to be, now all of a sudden he lost 2 times last year when in the forums he was undefeated.


Its either 1 or the other.
