Has anyone tried the AVS line of software by Online Media Technologies

i.e.

AVS video converter?


Please post your opinions and preferences if you like what you use now.

it sucked, slow and constant errors.........the only video converter I have had luck with is TMPGenc for windows..........toast 9 is excellent for mac.

Thanks, I figured it may be to good to be true. The GUI looks simple and to the point!

Does TMPGenc do a good job at converting AVCHD to ipod format?

decent.....a bit slow compared to Toast on Mac........I can't believe how fast toast is at converting .mts files.

you should be worrying about quality, rather than speed.

That's right, I'd rather choose a stable video converter to convert out the best video instead of convert fast with bad quality.

Adobe makes cheap, full featured editing software called 'Premier Element 10'. Last week it was about $50 somewhere on line. It has an amazing feature set including a wide variety of output choices. Each is optimized for the specific goal. One is specifically for iPods, iPads and iPhones. I have had no trouble with it reading AVCHD, including 1080p60.
