I am compelled to praise the Harmonic Technology Cyber-Link Platinum digital cable. It has permanently replaced my Cardas Lighting.

Though this cable requires a 100 hour burn-in, fresh out of the packaging it provided a noticably better sound in my system. Specifically, more detail everywhere and a tighter low low bass. I can hardly wait until it is broken in. This cable also has locking RCA connectors.

If you have the opportunity, give this cable a listen.

This cable lists for $249 US. I got mine for about $210 US.

(There are currently some used ones at www.audiogon.com)

If I didn't impulse buy, I may have got mine there.

Now my Digital Cable, as in Cable TV, is not the greatest, but I like the on-screen guide !

Burn-In:

Here is link to Harmonics FAQs about burn-in and warm-up time.

Actually, the "guide" that came with the cable states:

"...However, the Single Crystal metal and the dialectric materials may require 200 hours or more ... for full break-in."

I hope that 200 hours is a typo. Anyway, this cable in my system sounds great out of the box.
