I am setting up a DirecTV round dish just for download of

update to Panny TUHDS-20 STB. I understand from the

thread on that topic that I only need point to 101

longitude sat for software update, even though HD channels are on 119 sat.

When I enter my zip (91711) in Panny menu for single

round dish, I get

(Az,El) = (167.07, 48.58).

At DirecTV web site, I get

(Az,El) = (137.5, 46.4).

Which is right? What sat is Panny menu pointing me

towards: My own (longitude, laditude is (118,34).

Where can

I find directions for 119 sat if and when I decide to

point second (round) dish at it? I can only find

directions for 2-sat oval. I understand that

two round dishes is better than one oval, but this

would be for future, since I don't plan to subscribe to

DirecTV unless they get more HD product.

Thanks for any help you can [email protected]

From your location, the 101 sat will be located at 137.5 az, 46.4 el. The 119 sat will be at 168 az, 50 el.

I don't know why, but the panny seems to be giving you the wrong info.

Oval vs. 2 rounds: IMO there aren't many good reasons to prefer two round dishes over the oval (maybe if you get frequent rain fade).

If you have an HDTV capable display, you definitely need to get HBO HDTV. (IMO)
