Greetings, I awoke this morning (after a night of tornado watches and warnings) and found my 2 month old B&K AVR507 to be displaying the error code of Preserve Err 26....


Disconnected the power, and thought it had gone away.. Now that I have turned the receiver back on, it is constantly displaying this error.... The "26", constantly pulses, like the receiver is still finding this error...


B&K apparently took the day off, and I am unable to locate any mention of this error in their website or instruction manual...

Rob....maybe you got "whacked" with a power surge? That would be my first guess.


Did you have it plugged into any sort of power protection or surge protector gear?


I don't know what that error means. There's a way to totally reset the 507 by pressing a couple of buttons on the front of the unit. Look in the owners manual. See if that works. It'll wipe out all of your pre-sets, but it may bring the unit back "on-line".


The positive, it's good that you are OK. We got some nasty weather last night and warnings going off most of the evening, but we're no worse for the wear.

Have you forced a reset/initializing of the system?

If not give that a try.

I hope you took advantage of the wonderful B&K software suite to backup

your settings, if you did its an easy restore. Remember you can even set

the B&K up with your final setting as the factory default.

This way if you run into problems resetting/initializing the unit will reset with your saved settings, no fuss or lost time recalibrating
