Guys,
I am running an AVR507 version1 receiver and was recently trying to calibrate my theater using the Avia disc. It seems to me that there is some post-processing going on OTHER than just the straight decoding of the Dolby Digital 5.1 signal... which may throw off all of the calibration. I was wondering if there was a way to bypass all other post processing when inputting a DD or DTS signal? Perhaps I am misunderstanding the display on the receiver... but it appears to be running "Surround Movie" in addition to the DD decoding while playing back Avia. Am I misunderstanding this issue, or is there a way to strip the audio down to bare bones decode of the natively encoded format only?
Thanks,
Jeff
