I went and heard these speakers today and really liked them. The center was what sealed the deal. Great speakers.

Can someone recommend a good place online to buy them? I am looking for a great deal, if available? Even willing to buy used. I have looked on audiogon.com.

Used is your only online option for B&W as they do not allow online sales of any kind.

+1 i believe hometheaterstore.com has them on their website, but they sell at MSRP, and i dont even know if they are truly offered online. you might be able to discuss some sort of package deal with a salesperson there.

thats your best bet really, go back to the place where you auditioned them and talk to your salesperson. a lot of hi-end audio dealers will sell at MSRP, and between you (the customer) and the salesperson you work out some sort of deal. and buy the fronts and center, you should be able to work out something

and +1 for audiogon. just keep searching. they have all kinds of B&W stuff there, and it changes daily. good luck an dlet us know how it works out!

ill also say that hometheaterstore.com has prices on their website, which is nice to A) know if your delaer is marking things up, and B) to know if youre getting a good deal when checking out used deals

theres a pair of 685s on audiogon right now. looks like they have a few bottom chips, but i doubt youd notice if stand mounted

I saw those..... While i liked the 685s I really liked the HTM61 center, which also has one on audiogon. My plan is to get the center HTM61, then get 685s or something else that matches... maybe even a CM-1 or a used CDM-1.
