The drivers in the N800 series, well the 805, 804, 803 anyway, look very similar to the drivers in my DM600 series speakers. Anyone know if they are the same, and if they are why would I spend the money one a N800 series speaker with DM600 drivers?

I think you answered your own question, they aren't exactly the same, there are some differences. Otherwise why pay?!

The cabinets are slighly different as well (build & quality, not just looks).

They aren't the same. The 804 and up use FST midranges and all of the Nauts use kevlar/paper woofer instead of aluminum as on the 600's. Whether or not the midrange driver on the 805 is the same as the 600's I have no idea but I seriously doubt the motor structure is the same nor do I believe the housing is decoupled on the 600's as they are on the 800's. Obviously, the cabinets are much different not only in appearance but also construction, bracing, and materials. Don't forget the crossovers are completely upgraded on the Nauts with the 800-802 using exterior cross-overs and plinths.

The difference is in the listening. If you can't hear a difference between the Nauts and 600's then by all mean save your dough and be happy. It's all about the music anyway, right?
