Back of the box says 1080p but only plays in 720p?

I just got MLB 07 the show, on the back of the box and even in the instruction manual says that the game can play in 1080p. I put it in and game is only playing at 720p w/ no option in the game that I can find to put it at 1080p. My tv is native 1080p, and my ps3's settings are for 1080p what gives?

Untick 720 in the setting menu

the game is optimized for 720,therefore if it is an option it will go to the best suited resolution....
