I just got the msoft wireless adapter, and when I first plugged it in, no light came on. I rebooted, and then the red light came on, but the xbox wouldnt recognize my adapter. I then plugged it in to the front port, and it finally worked. is this a bug that might have been fixed by an update(I did those with it plugged in to the front port)? or, does it sound like I need to send it in? I'm afraid to unplug it from the front, as it's working fine(albeit with it hanging in front of the xbox). thoughts?

Something is wrong. If I spent $400+ on something, I expect it to work. I'd send it back, return to the store, or do whatever it took to get what I paid for.

Have you tried plugging it into each of the 3 ports to see if they all work? If they do, then it may have just been how you seated it in the USB port the first time. If one of the ports doesn't work, send you in your 360 to be replaced.


A friend of mines rear USB port went dead after a power surge, and he had his 360 replaced.
