Hello,

I purchased a Dish 6000 with 8VSB module about 6 mos or so ago at most. Recently I'm starting to get what could almost be described as a sparkling on the channels, and also some green patches that show up, it mainly happens around movement, and only green on one channel. I doubt it's multipath from the look and signal strength, and the audio stays solid. Analog channels and Dish analog channels and HDTV channels look fine. Only the Digital ota stations have a problem. Any one have any ideas? I know some of the Boston stations last week were acting up, but I can't believe WBZ, WHDH and WCVB would do this...

Thanks,

-Mike

I believe that I had a 8VSB cartridge fail. The 6000 would not power up with the unit plugged in. When I unplugged it I could get the 6000 to power up.

I believe that mine failed while unplugging the unit from a power strip and plugging it into a MonsterPower HTS3500.

I've RMA'ed my cartridge - last week - but have not received the replacement.
