[Misplaced Texan]

Hi All,


I have all my equipment away from sight so I need an IR repeater for my remote.. Problem is that all the ones I've had have sub par performance and are very finicky..



The ones I have tried are all wireless, so I am wondering if there is a WIRED repeater that has better performance?


One IR eye that is out in the front and exposed and then wired to the repeated which is in front of my equipment..


VERY frustrated, help is needed!

You could try Xantech. You could extend with cat 5 if necessary.

Obviously distance to equipment may be the problem, but if you have a plasma or LCD tv that may be the reason for your troubles.

The Xantech kits work well but you experience sticker shock compared to other solutions you have tried.


Do you mind if I ask what wireless solutions you tried? What remote you are using to send the original signals? And how far away the equipment is. These all factor into the performance.
