I recently sold my Crown pro audio amp and I ordered the Emotiva XPA-2.With the crown I had to run RCA to XLR cables because Crown had XLR inputs .The Emotiva has both.My question is should I use the same cables or get RCA TO RCA for the Emotiva ?

I assume your preamp is RCA-only, yes? I would just use the cables you have unless you feel like spending more money. Actually, if the latter is true, just send it to me...

Yes I am using Onkyo TX-NR5007 AVR as my pre-amp just has RCA outputs. Is there an advantage to running RCA into the XLR's on the amp ??
