Before I pull the trigger can anybody give their good (or bad) experience using baluns for HDMI over Cat with DVDO Edge. My run will be 50 feet from Edge into Samusung LN5781. My current plan is to use a straight run (no connectors) of shielded cable. In addition to your personal experience, I have some specific questions
is Cat5e ok or will I see better results with Cat 6?
should I get the Arkfield ($53 on amazon) or the TrippLite Wallplate Extender ($on sale for $63 from $123) - I don't care about appearance, I just want best performance
