I'm having plugging in some MIT speaker cables into my Sunfire Amp. The banana plugs will not go in all the way - they are about 80% of the way in but the last 1/8" won't go in. You think it makes a difference if it sticks out slightly?

As long as they are in snugly -- thus making good electrical contact -- you'll be fine.

Thanks Bob. Strange that this is the first time I've ever had a problem like that - they have always gone in all the way for me. So I guess it either works or doesn't work type of thing. I'm not missing any sound from having it not connecting all the way?
