Anyone know where I can find an adapter for hooking up RCA cables to the banana plugs on the back of my receiver? My previous sound system used RCA connectors and I already installed the walljack with RCA ports on it.

thanks

You’ll probably have to make your own. All you need of one of those speaker cables with RCAs on the ends – Radio Shack sells then, I think. Cut off one end, strip back the insulation, and connect it to a banana plug.

A better idea might be to change the wall plated to accept bananas.

Ah well screw it. My receiver also has connectors for bare wire. I'll just cut RCA cables in half and plug into wall jack on the RCA side, and stripped leads into the receiver.

Do you think 18 gauge wire is big enough for 150W on each speaker?

In my opinion, no, unless the run is really short

Actually, my mistake, the HT-S650 is rated at 100W/Ch.

The wires that Onkyo supplied with it look pretty thin. Does anybody know what gauge they are?
