I've recently noticed an intermittent banding problem (a white line suddenly appears and disappears. Sometimes it doesn't happen for 30 minutes but other times it is repeated in five or ten minutes. It is just a blink of an eye.


I should mention that I am running a long hdmi cable (a 15 foot cable plus a 12 foot cable with a powered signal booster in between). My projector occasionally loses the signal but immediately re-acquires it.


Is this banding the bulb or the projector? It is still under warranty.

It is impossible for the bulb to cause that. It may be your setup. I would move equipment around so you can test it with just one cable and no booster. The fact that the signal drops out periodically suggests that what you're doing has a problem.


If it continues after making those changes, you have a projector problem.
