I just hooked up a Samsung TS-160 last week and yesterday enjoyed my first DirectTV HD programming. However, I have an issue that I am hoping could be resolved and thought I would ask.
When the channel banner on is displayed as you change D* stations the Program name is at the very top of the Banner and for SD programming this is partially cut off on my TV. I have a Toshiba 50H82 with proper overscan, and us a Theaterwide 1 stretch mode for SD programming. It has a very slight vertical stretch as well as the horizontal stretch.
Is it possible to move the banner on the screen, I didn't see it as an option. If not I wonder if Samsung would consider the issue. Since most people who have the TS-160 would have widescreen sets but need to watch some SD programming they are all probably using soem stretch mode and finding a similar problem.
BTW, I am using the 16:9 Full mode for SD on the TS-160 so there is no vertical stretch there.
Thanks
Andy
