Right, call me a dozy fool etc, but I cant for the life of me get my Barco 801s Data Converged properly, in windows, is just fussy as heck

The times that I do fix it, get it perfect, it's usually in corners, and its black and whiteish :(

I have a custom made cheap MDF screen

I'm feeding a signal to the Barco via RGBVH BNC in, and using powerstip, Voodoo 5 5500 and 1.1ghz (fast enough)

Please tell me what res to run my HTPC, i'd like one res, and then to converge the tubes... tips and etc

I did the service install, got all the crosshairs lined up, then went back into windows and it was all out of alignment! :(

Screen is about 100" across and about 9ft from the screen

any help would be totally appreciated

OK here goes:

1) First off, make sure you use the 'genlocked' test signal, but the 'internal' pattern. Better yet, make up a Xhatch grid within the computer and then use the source for the test pattern.

2) The Barco Data only scans to 58Khz, Make sure you're not going past that.

3) For best focus, you have to go thru the astig adjustments, covered ad nauseum here in the archives..:D

See if that helps!

pegFACE,

I'm running at 1184x666 at 72Hz and it seems to be right in the sweet spot for the Barco Data 801s.

Try it, you'll like it!

Cheers!
