Hi,

I've been lurking here for some time and have progressed my knowledge from nil by reading the wise words of the forum members. But now I have a little problem!

I have a Barco 808s which shows 599hours run time and has tubes with absolutely no signs of wear. I fired up this projector for the first time and all seemed ok for half an hour or so, until I started to notice the odd flicker as I moved around the menus. I ignored this for a while, but then I noticed the red CRT was off.

I'm sure the red was working to start with, because I saw a red crosshatch pattern as I worked through the guided setup. I was just getting familiar with the menus etc.

The tube cathode heater is working and I'm pretty sure the high voltage is OK too. Is it likley I've changed a menu item that could cause this? I have re-centered all settings from the service menu, but the red CRT still produces no light at all.

Any advice would be welcome, before I think about returning the unit to the seller.

Cheers,

-phil
