I have my BG800 connected to my PC and most of the time i bring it out of standby (by pressing the 5 on the remote) I get a "Invalid soft RMI Version". Does anyone know what this means or what the problem is?
I have also posted another issue on this forum regarding another problem with the projector not coming out of standby at all. It just makes the chirping noise for 10 secs while the 8 LEDs, including the scan fail LED, blink. The projector comes out of standby if i remove the SMPS board and re-insert it. Someone suggested that it was a cold solder problem on the SMPS board. I took the board out for inspection and it does look like the transformer solders are cracked.
For the last few days its been coming out of standby with no problem. except, it almost always has the "invalid RMI version" error. So, i just put it into standby again and press 5 to come out of standby and it comes up fine.
Any idea whats going on here? are these 2 things related. thanks for the help in advance.
