I found this reply on the barco forum regarding the Cine 6

I'm interested in PAL 1080i @ 50hz .... can someone explain the above in more detail ? What does he mean by the blanking time etc. Also, if it can do 1080i @ 50hz does that mean it will be able to do 720P ?

Nope 720p is >32 Khz the max you can do in progressive on the Cine6 is 600p.

Yes even at 50 Hz...


To have an estimation of the horizontal freq you can do (nbLines*vFreq*1.1)


So for 720p @ 50 Hz : 720*50*1.1 = +/- 39.6 Khz (estimation)


I don't know for the tubes

Thankyou for your reply. I was still hoping someone could explain what is meant by "blanking time".


Also, can any HTPC's output 1080i ?
