Dear All,


Is it possible to replace the tubes in the Barco Graphics 1200 with tubes from i.e. a Barco 1209 or some ohter projector? (like a Sony??)


if so, which tubes will fit, and how difficult is it to replace them personaly?


(I find building PCs very easy - but I have no idea how complicated projectors are)

for the moment the old MEC tubes aren't available any more and Barco is shipping the tubes they normally use in a 1209s right now.

They even supply a kit along with the tubes to make sure you can fit these.

These newer MEC tubes offer scheimfplug adjustment.


Keep in mind they are pretty expensive and maybe it's better to send them to VDC for a rebuild. Do a search in this forum about refurbished VDC tubes.

The BG1200 has Sony 09MX CRT !!! the same CRT are used on the Sony 1292 -> No rebuild by VDC
