I picked this projector up as a freebie a while back and have played around with getting it working, but to no avail. I think this PJ intrigued me (at the time) because it was a simple 480i only set with LC lenses. And it was free. I wouldn't pay money for the thing, but I figured it could be "fun" to work on.

Once the Marquees I have sitting around were done laughing at it, I replaced a burnt-out resistor array in the control module which had been cooked off the PCB. Now, when I put a signal to it, the green CRT begins a slow strobe effect where it cycles from dark to full on brightness in about 1 second, cuts off, repeats. This was obviously what burnt out the resistor array inside.

I know this projector model has a common flaw of shorting out the tubes, but is this how it acts when that happens? Most of the sets I get in my shop simply shut down when the tube shorts. I disconnected the video feed to the neckboard and it stops doing this.

Anyone have any ideas before I just decide to toss it in the dumpster? It was a novelty at one time, but it is now a huge doorstop that I keep moving around (the case is the size of the 1208, but with shorter lenses, and just as heavy - if not heavier.).
