basic audio ripping question

Hey, I'm still in the dark on ripping only certain audio tracks from your DVD to your HD. So, I'd like to backup a movie, no compression, but just the movie only. In DVDShrink, it gives you the option to get rid of all the tracks and such. I will be playing these movies in 2 places. A home theater that is capable of DTS 5.1, and a computer w/ analog outputs to klipsch promedia 5.1 ultra's. The soundcard is the nforce digital out to the HT and analog outs to the promedia ultra 5.1's. I know that I can ditch all the 2 channel sound, but when I get to the 5.1's I don't know what to do. If I rip it with 5.1 DTS only, will I be able to listen to 5.1 sound on my computer? I already understand that if I rip w/ only ac3 5.1, I can get DD but not DTS out of the HT. Basically, I'm wondering if I need to rip both tracks to meet my goal of 5.1 sound on both platforms.
