Basic question...


I have a backlight for my HDTV. Its on/off switch is right on the light itself. The light plugs into a normal 3-prong socket.


I'd like to control it with IR.


What would work for me? I don't need anything fancy...

Using X10 or Z-way compatible outlets w/their RC.

x10 remotes are RF based, but they do have an IR converter that will send the signals over the power line.


The Harmony remotes will control the X10 modules (assuming you have the IR converter).
