I've got a question for the many Batman Begins Blu Ray owners, are you finding that the bitstream 5.1 track sounds better than the TrueHD/PCM? I have sampled them both from my PS3 and the DD sounds more full, more bass and louder than the PCM.
Set up: PS3 via HDMI to Yamaha V661.
PS3 (LPCM) and Batman Begins (TrueHD selected):
5.1 Ch. 48kHz 1.9-2.7 Mbps
PS3 (Bitstream) and Batman Begins (English) selected:
Multi-Channel 48kHz 640 kbps
I keep reading that PCM is -4db louder than Dolby Digital, but in this case the PCM sounds weaker. Has anybody else tested this or had this situation on any other br disc? Also, since the kHz are the same, does it even matter?
