Does anybody have success with this combination?

I have been using Belden 1694A with Snap n Seal RCA connectors (SNS1P6RM Series) with questionable success. The problem comes from pushing the connector onto the cable (before using the compression tool) which is very hard to do. Sometimes the connection is made (after pushing on with gloves and a lot of grunts and sore fingers) most time it isn’t which means wasted connectors and cable. With plain old coax cable the connector slides on with very little pressure. Is there something I need to do to the cable before attaching the connector? Any advice please.

You didn't say which SNS connector you were using but the inner colored sleeve pretty much defines which cable it is to be used with. Blue is for RG6 regular and tri-shield. Purple is for RG6 quad shield. Orange is for RG59 regular and tri-shield. Green is for RG59 quad shield. Light (Lime) Green is a special order custom size like specific brands of plenum cable.

The bodies of all RG6 and RG59 connectors are the same for each RG cable size. The inner diameter of the sleeves matches the size of the outer diameter of the cable's outer jacket.

However, the thickness of the 1694a makes quad connectors more suitable.
